3 members of a family were buried alive in a landslide in Arunachal Pradesh

Incessant rains over the last one week have ravaged the state, snapping road connectivity in several areas, besides uprooting trees and damaging houses.

Guwahati: Three members of a family were buried alive in a landslide in Arunachal Pradesh. A massive landslide triggered by heavy rains in Sulung Taping village, Kurung Kumey district on Tuesday.

 

Incessant rains over the last one week have ravaged the state, snapping road connectivity in several areas, besides uprooting trees and damaging houses.

 

Due to landslide, atleast 15 houses were damaged and burying three people alive. The deceased were identified as Sariu Tongdang, Sariu Yajik and Sariu Takar.

 

One person was critically injured in the incident. The affected families have been put up at a rehabilitation centre and relief grants were given to them.
