Israeli attack in Gaza claimed 2,215 lives, 724 of them being children
Over 120 individuals are being held hostage in Gaza by the terrorist group Hamas, IDF reported on Saturday. In reaction to the “infiltration of unidentified aerial objects into Israel” and fire on an Israeli drone, Israel’s military claimed early on Saturday that it had attacked a Hezbollah target in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the drone successfully intercepted the objects and the firing.
As to the U.N. humanitarian organisation OCHA, tens of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are believed to have moved south after Israel gave them 24 hours’ notice to leave the north of the territory prior to an anticipated ground offensive. According to OCHA’s website, more than 400,000 Palestinians had been internally displaced as a result of the violence before the evacuation order.
