In the mad rush of this post pandemic era people have deliberately missed jotting
down-“A visit to Mother nature’s lap” in their To-do list.
Here, in these lands, Mother Nature is waiting with her open arms and beckoning
us to delve into her absolute elegance and virgin lands, some discovered and
some yet unknown, unexplored mystical places on earth- the North east India.
Here is a list of some fascinating road trips which you can undertake with family
and friends and fill your soul with sheer happiness.

Varsey Trek - Varsey Trekking Tour Sikkim

 

Varsey Trek
Varsey Trek in Sikkim is the perfect place for thrill enthusiasts. One can take a
short to a medium distance trek which reaches up to an altitude of up to 3300 m.
The trail is heaven on earth with a wide variety of flora and fauna. The red and
yellow Rhododendron trees give this place a dreamlike shade.
One can also book outdoor camps and gaze the starry-starry sky during the three-
day-long trek.

Exploring caves has been the oldest fascination of mankind. The Krem Puri Caves,
Meghalaya, is the longest sandstone caves in India which was discovered in 2016

The underground cavern is more than 6000 metres long and it is destination for
searching ancient fossils. Fossils of dinosaurs, especially the Mosasaurus ,which
was a giant reptile that lived 66-76 million years has been found in the cave.
One can stay in Shillong and travel over to Laitsohum village where the caves
open up.

strange phenomenon which occurs in this place- the Bird Sucide.

scientific community worldwide, Jatinga mystery too has no answers. In fact, this
strange phenomenon which takes place here during the monsoon attracts the
footfall to the place. Termed as the Jatinga Bird Suicide spot, the birds in this area
become disoriented between 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on dark moonless nights and
plunge towards the lights and torches of the town.

The spirit of Buddhism prevails in the atmosphere here. Zen lovers can drool here
any day anytime. The Tawang Monastery which is the largest monastery in India
and the second largest in the world is the best catch. The day to day lives of
monks quietens the palpitating heart. The city derives its name from the Tawang
River which flows nearby.
Tawang also has the Gorichen peak which is the highest peak in Aurnachal
Pradesh. The Jaswant Garh war memorial dedicated to the hero of Indo-China
war, the late Jaswant Singh Rawat is also a major tourist attraction.
