HINDU MAN BRUTALLY ATTACKED IN BANGLADESH SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES

The man was allegedly set on fire after he recognized two of the attackers.

A Hindu man, Khokon Chandra Das, who was allegedly attacked with sharp weapons and set on fire in Bangladesh, has died after battling for his life at a hospital in Dhaka.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Wednesday evening when Das was returning home after closing his shop. He ran a small medicine store and also provided mobile banking services in his village. During the attack, the assailants reportedly assaulted him with sharp weapons and then set him on fire.

In a desperate attempt to save himself, Das jumped into a nearby pond, which helped extinguish the flames that had nearly engulfed his head and face. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.

Although doctors had advised transferring him to a larger medical facility, local residents rushed Das to a nearby hospital without delay. He was later shifted to Dhaka for advanced treatment, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Das’s wife said the family had no known disputes or enemies in the area and never imagined such an attack could occur. She alleged that the attackers were Muslims and appealed to the police and the Bangladesh government for justice and support. According to her statement, her husband was set on fire after he recognized two of the attackers.

Investigation is underway.
