Assam’s Ashmita Chaliha grabs in ‘Women’s Singles Title’, at Maldives International Challenge

Ashmita Chaliha, a young Assamese badminton prodigy, won the Women’s singles title at the Maldives International Challenge badminton competition in a spectacular display of talent and tenacity.

By scores of 19-21, 21-17, and 21-11, Chaliha defeated Tasnim Mir in the women’s singles match.

On his official Twitter account, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma congratulated Ashmita on her accomplishment.
