12 bogies derailed after collision between two goods train in West Bengal, Bankura

Following a collision between two freight trains on June 25 at around 4 am in Bankura, West Bengal, 12 bogies derailed.

The incident happened at Onda station when one of the goods trains collided with the other one from behind, resulting in the derailment of 12 waggons from the goods train.

Although there were no fatalities, sources claim that the driver of one of the cargo trains was slightly hurt.

The incident comes just weeks after a major train accident in Odisha’s Balasore that killed more than 250 and injured nearly 1000 in the accident.
