Indian actor and filmmaker Dhanush and Bollywood star Mrunal Thakur have once again grabbed headlines amid fresh rumours about their relationship.
According to reports circulating online, the two actors are said to be planning to take their relationship to the next level. Sources claim that Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur are set to tie the knot on February 14, coinciding with Valentine’s Day, in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family.
However, neither actor has officially responded to the reports so far.
Speculation around their relationship began after the duo was spotted together on multiple occasions. One notable instance was the screening of Son of Sardaar 2, where Dhanush made a surprise appearance. In return, Mrunal attended the wrap-up party of Dhanush’s upcoming film Tere Ishq Mein, further fuelling dating rumours.
Addressing the buzz earlier, Mrunal clarified that there was no romantic angle to Dhanush’s presence at the screening.
“Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event because Ajay Devgn invited him. No one should misunderstand that,” she said, adding in multiple interviews that they share a good friendship and nothing more.
Despite the public clarifications, insiders suggest otherwise. According to a source, “Yes, they are dating, but it’s still new. They don’t plan to make their relationship official anytime soon. They are comfortable being seen together, and friends believe they are quite compatible in terms of values and outlook.”
Mrunal Thakur’s growing presence in South Indian cinema reportedly brought her closer to Dhanush. Meanwhile, Dhanush was previously married to filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. The couple ended their 18-year marriage in 2022 and parents of two sons, Linga and Yatra. Mrunal was earlier rumoured to be linked with singer-rapper Badshah.
As speculation continues to swirl, fans are eagerly waiting for an official confirmation from the actors.
