A wedding ceremony in Bodh Gaya, Bihar took a shocking turn on November 29 after an unexpected dispute erupted over a shortage of rasgullas.
The incident surfaced after CCTV footage circulated on social media, showing families and guests from both the bride and the groom sides threw punches, pushed one another, and some picked up red plastic chairs and used them as melee weapons near the food stall.
Police revealed that the fight broke out just after rituals were completed. The couple was on their way to the wedding hall when chaos erupted at the food area. Multiple individuals from both families sustained injuries in the sudden group fight.
Despite the groom’s family agreeing to continue, the bride’s family refused to proceed with the wedding after the violent altercation. Therefore the wedding got cancelled.
Following the chaos, the bride’s family stayed at the hotel while the groom’s family left for a nearby village.
Later, the bride’s family filed a dowry case against the groom’s side, further escalating tensions.
